Do I need to book tickets in advance?
No — general admission is available at the door every day. Booking ahead is only required for the twelve-place Guided Heritage Tour and for groups of ten or more.
Is the museum accessible?
Yes. Step-free routes run through every wing, wheelchairs are available at the welcome desk, and guided tours can be arranged in five languages with two weeks' notice.
Can I take photographs?
Photography without flash is welcome everywhere except the Photography Collection's low-light wing, where works on paper need darkness to survive. Tripods need prior permission.
Do you host private events?
The dome hall and rotunda are available for private evening hire — receptions, recordings, and celebrations. Send us a message with your date and party size for availability.
When is the quietest time to visit?
Weekday mornings before noon are calmest. Every first Sunday opens with low-sensory quiet hours from 10AM to noon — reduced sound, dimmed media, and smaller crowds.
