About the exhibition

Europe's greatest century, wall to wall

Renaissance Treasures traces painting's most daring century — from devotional panels glowing with gold to portraits so lifelike their sitters seem to breathe. The hang follows the artist's journey: apprenticeship, mastery, and the workshop system that carried ideas across the continent.

Highlights include monumental altarpieces, intimate merchant portraits, and mythological scenes painted for private chambers. Free guided tours run daily at 11AM; twilight viewings with live early music take place on the last Friday of each month.
